If I were to give advice on marriage, it would be this: if someone tells you that their marriage is perfect or that marriage is easy, they're either lying to you or to themselves. Marriage is work. It's a job. It's not always equal. It's not always fair. Sometimes you're the windshield - sometimes you're the bug. But if you communicate and are both willing to make compromises along the way, it all evens out in the end. And if you hang in there, the retirement benefits are awesome.
