I've been drooling over some of my favorite pictures of Destin. They bring back some wonderful memories, but they make me miss the beach. It's been almost 2 years since we've been there. What happened to days when we took the kids to the beach for one vacation, and Gus & I would go to the beach alone for a second vacation??

I'm going there or somewhere very near there in July. It's been about 4-5 years since I've been to a beach. Is there anywhere in particular we should check out while we're there?
Ooh, fun!! We love Baytowne Wharf - there's so much to do there (there's even a playground for little ones). The Crab Trap is a fun place to eat - it's right on the beach & they serve the kid meals in a sandbucket w/ a shovel (and they get to keep it). If you're going to be there in July, I recommend going out to eat early - like between 4 and 5 - otherwise you'll run into huge crowds and have really long waits. I can email you more info - we've been going there for 12 years.
