Finally!!! I can spill my guts!!! Buddy bought his first car!!! It's a 2003 Jeep Wrangler - navy blue, 5-speed manual, lifted with huge tires - and he's in love. Gus and I are so proud of him. He's worked hard and saved his money instead of spending it - and now it's paying off for him.
The night he got the Jeep he said he was going to go outside and clean it. I don't think he has ever voluntarily cleaned anything in his entire life. When I questioned him, he said "that's different". Hmmpphh. Just like a man.
Of course, Buddy and Gus had to check under the hood and do manly things and make manly noises. No, not that kind of noise. At least I don't think so. But they are men, so who knows?
And there's the ol' Buddy grin. He hasn't stopped grinning since he brought the Jeep home. I suspect he's going to keep grinning for quite some time.
He named his Jeep "The Beast"and said that my Highlander is "The Beastie". I think he thought that would offend me, but I think it's kind of cute, with a whole Scottish sort of theme going - Highlander, wee beastie - get it? I like to embrace my Celtic roots.
What 20 year old guy who lives in Kentucky doesn't want a Jeep with a manual transmission and big ol' tires? He'll be the envy of every guy in the neighborhood.
I see some 4-wheelin' in your future, Buddy...but don't forget to wear your seatbelt, and drive safely. Love, Mom.

What a great day for him. :)
He's still in 7th heaven. That Jeep is his world now, LOL!
