Reels, reels, reels!!

I've spent a lot of time watching movies since December, when I started having health issues. Most have been on DVD, but some have been at the theater.

Since there are so many, I don't want to do a plot synopsis along with the review. Besides, you're all perfectly capable of looking up the movie if you're interested, LOL. So I'll include a link to the movie on imdb.com, but other than that, I'm just going to rate the movie and mention things that I particularly liked or hated.

I give this movie a 3 out of 5. It wasn't bad if you watched it with the full realization of what type of movie it was meant to be, you know?

I like this one - but I like action movies that are also a bit funny - especially if it's "dry" humor. I give this one a 4 out of 5. I hope there is a sequel.

This one was okay. Yummy man candy (Paul Walker!), but my attention drifted several times. I almost didn't watch it because Chris Brown is in it, but I'm glad I did. Would you believe that I didn't recognize Hayen Christensen until halfway through the movie? LOL! This one gets a 3 out of 5.

I loved this one! Yes, it's outrageous & silly - but it was hilarious! This one gets 4.5 out of 5!

You should know that I am a big fan of Dwayne Johnson, so I'm probably going to like any movie that he's in - except maybe that football one - I didn't see that one. A bit different for him - he doesn't usually play a "bad" guy. Billy Bob Thornton plays his usual disgusting, slimy role. I give this one a 3.5 out of 5.

Another Dwayne Johnson movie - I think this one was by Disney - but I liked it. It was funny and cute - and there is one scene where Dwayne is shirtless. I give this one a 3.5 out of 5.

I'm not a Twilight fan, but I have watched all of the movies on DVD. Robert Pattinson doesn't impress me, and I hate the expressions on Kristen Stewart's face. Taylor Lautner, well, he's another story. His lines are pretty cheesy, but he's a hunka-hunka-burning love. This was my favorite Twilight movie so far (not saying a lot). It gets a 2.75 out of 5.

Ah, Jason Statham. More man candy. And yes, you get to see him shirtless. Lots of action, explosions, etc. A couple of parts moved a little slowly, but for the most part it was really good. I give it almost 4 out of 5.

I'm a sucker for vampires & werewolves, so I had to see this one. Yes, I thought it was a bit Twilight-ish (not a good thing in my book), and there were a lot of close-ups of Amanda Seyfried's lips (like Megan Fox's in Transformers - except Amanda's were matte red instead of super glossy) - but it was a decent story. I guessed identity of the wolf early on in the movie, but it still made me keep second-guessing myself. I give it a 3.5 out of 4.

Can I just say O.M.G.? This movie is freakin' hilarious!! If you're easily offended, you'll probably want to avoid this one. And it definitely isn't for the kiddies. But if you love raunchy humor, you don't want to miss it. There are also a lot of references to (and lines from) Star Wars, Aliens, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E. T., Indiana Jones, etc. This one gets a 5 out of 5!
