Old Dogs

Gus and I watched Old Dogs (starring Robin Williams and John Travolta) this weekend. No, there's no suspenseful plot to overtake the world, no gratuitous sex/nudity, and if I remember correctly, no F-bombs. But it was really cute and silly-funny. I highly recommend this one for just a good-time, funny, laughing-through-the-entire-thing movie. Don't expect a lot from it - just enjoy it.

One of my favorite scenes is where Robin Williams gets a spray tan. Granted, it won't do much to promote sunless tanning, but it is hilarious. By the time the tan develops, he looks like George Hamilton's brother. And no, that's not a compliment.

And the dog is sooooo adorable! I couldn't find any information about what breed of dog he is - but he looks a lot like a Leonberger. Sort of like a cross between a St. Bernard and a German shepherd. If not, he's a mix of breeds that look very similar to a Leonberger.

So if you like Robin Williams in small doses, and you enjoy John Travolta in comedic roles, rent this one - you'll enjoy it!
